Heart-racing moment as a civilian ferry barrels straight at the lens, then snaps hard to port at the last second
POV: I’m standing near the edge of the pier as the ferry lines up bow-on, growing bigger with every second. The engine rumble builds, the bow wave starts to curl, and for a heartbeat it looks like it’s not turning. Then, last second, the captain throws it hard to port and the hull slides past in a rush of spray and wind. You can almost feel the wake slap the pier as the ship clears by a hair.
